Ufone hasn't officially announced anything on this yet.

According to information we have got, and confirmed with multiple sources, Amir Pasha will head Ufone's Public Relation department and will report to Mr. Akbar Khan, Chief Marketing Officer at Ufone.

Amir Pasha, PR & CSR Manager of ZONG had been working at CMPak Limited for last four years.

Amir has 11 years of diverse experience in the field of PR and Media and has previously worked as Manager PR at Mobilink. He has also served Communication Research Strategies (PVT) Ltd, and Haidri Beverages (PEPSI) Co. Ltd.

Mr. Pasha's core responsibilities at Zong included looking after the company and brand image enhancement and disseminating official information related to the company to all stakeholders, especially the media.

Ufone has received the 'Best practicing CSR Company' award by United Nations Global Compact Pakistan (UNGCP). Ufone is the only telecom recipient of this prestigious award.

UN Global Compact Pakistan Local Network in collaboration with Lahore Chamber of Commerce, Employers' Federation of Pakistan and FPCCI, organized the National Global Compact Conference under the theme "Sustaining Best Business Practices" in Lahore recently.

To inspire the business community to follow the lead taken by business in the area of sustainability, UNGCP conferred recognition awards on Best Practicing CSR companies.

In view of creative CSR initiatives taken by Ufone as a tool for business sustainability, Ufone's name was suggested by UNGCP's Selection Committee for conferment of this Award. The steering committee at UNGCP handpicked Ufone for this award based on the word of mouth generated due to the company's CSR activities. UN Global Compact is a Project started by the former UN secretary general Kofi Annan.

On the achievement, Akbar Khan Chief Marketing Officer, Ufone expressed his delight by praising the efforts, dedication and hard work of his team. He further said that CSR was a growing field and responsible organizations such as Ufone are very conscious of their responsibility towards their stakeholders and the environment they operate in. "With another 'first' in Ufone's cap, we are very proud to be part of this environment friendly organization", he maintained.

Moazzam Ali Khan, Head of Corporate Social Responsibility at Ufone emphasized on the importance of a strong CSR platform and said that Ufone's initiatives were creative, innovative and focused on the masses. He said that areas such as Child health care and environmental sustainability are Ufone's prime focus along with other educational activities for the under privileged students.
