Mobilink logo1 Breaking: Mobilinks Top Management Undergoes Major Reshuffle Mobilink house has decided to reshuffle its top management, by shifting portfolios of at least three vice presidents and introducing Chief Commercial Office's slot in the company, we have confirmed with sources.

According to information we have got, Mr. Bilal Munir Sheikh has been elevated to Chief Commercial Office's position.

Bilal was Previously serving as Vice President of Sales, prior to which he was VP Marketing at Mobilink.

Mr. Jehanzeb Taj, who had been heading Mobilink's marketing department is now given the headship of Mobile Financial Service. Mr. Taj will serve as Vice President and will report directly to Mr. Rashid Khan, CEO and President, Mobilink.

Farid Ahmed has been appointed Vice President for Marketing. Mr. Farid was previously heading Business Analysis and Planning, which is now given to Mr. Wasif Mustafa who had been shifted to Mobilink from Vimpelcom Laos. Wasif Mustafa has previously worked with Mobilink at Distribution & Sales Planning and Analysis department.

As per information we have got, Vice President Marketing, regional sales directors and Director BAP (Business Analysis and Planning) will report to Bilal Munir Sheikh.

Sales division will remain without any VP for now. During this, as mentioned above, regional directors will report directly to CCO.

Mr. Irfan Akram will keep heading Customers Care department for now.

One would call it a marketing nightmare for the agency and the client itself if one brand ends up promoting a competition brand. This turned true for wi-tribe when it appeared in Senders' name for a SPAM email (produced below) that was meant to promote PTCL's EVO.

Interestingly, both the companies, wi-tribe and PTCL, use same (spam) email marketing firm to promote their products. It is anticipated that someone working at email marketing firm who is responsible for queuing emails mixed up the things and ended up sending wrong attachment file with the email.

Even more interesting is the fact that both wi-tribe and PTCL won't own these SPAM emails, rather they will term these emails as individual act from franchisers, resellers or retailers, as if they don't have any control on their resellers.

wi-tribe in a communication with ProPakistani said that company is strictly against email spamming and disallows all its franchisers and distributors from engaging into such malpractices.

But it is a worrying situation for general internet users who receive hundreds of emails on daily basis, ranging from dozens of brands including multinational companies, banks, mobile phone manufacturers, TV channels, online shopping stores and what not.

Once again, just to mention, all the Spammers are doing all this just because we don't have cyber law in Pakistan, and email spamming isn't considered an offense in Pakistan.

Windows 8 Will be Launched on October 26

So much has been said about the Windows 8 that almost nothing was left to be known except for its release date. But now, this mystery has been solved too.

Steven Sinofsky, President of the Windows division officially announced, at the annual sales meeting of Microsoft, that the latest software of Windows will be launched on October 26th, 2012.

Windows 8 will be launching on both PCs and as an upgrade on October 26.

Earlier, a Microsoft official (Tami Reller to be exact) had already announced that the new Windows is coming in October, but it is only now that we have come to know of its exact release date.
